Jon earned his MA from NYU’s prestigious Tisch School of the Arts in cinema studies and a BFA in screenwriting from USC’s hyper-selective School of Cinema-Television and is currently pursuing a Masters in Social Work at Rutgers University. A former career writer and editor, Jon is a veteran of the Hollywood screenwriting scene and has been published in academic journals and presented at/moderated various academic conferences. As a tutor, classroom instructor, and advisor for over a decade, Jon has taught thousands of students in classrooms and hundreds privately, helping students get into schools of all levels, and many with lucrative scholarships.

As an avid reader, cineaste, and gamer, Jon possesses a formidable knowledge of history, philosophy, and pop culture that he’s put to excellent use as a member of Testive’s content creation team. He’s worked with every type of student from every type of interest—athletes, scholars, musicians, dancers, leaders, writers, gamers, and so on and helped them prioritize what they need to prioritize to achieve their goals without sacrificing what makes them who they are.
