Testive utilizes a combination of expert coaching, adaptive learning technology, and personalized study plans to help students achieve their target scores on the SAT and ACT exams. Our platform analyzes each student’s strengths and weaknesses to create a customized study plan tailored to their individual needs.
At Testive, we understand that “not being a good test taker” can be the most frustrating obstacle for hard-working students to overcome. Testive stands out because our goal isn’t to overload students with as many hours of prep as possible. We use industry-leading digital practice tools and combine that with highly trained tutors to give students an efficient roadmap for building their own personal test-taking skills that drives immediate results, is repeatable, and provides long-lasting confidence.
Our educators are experienced tutors and test prep experts who are dedicated to helping students succeed. They undergo rigorous training to ensure that they have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide effective guidance and support throughout the test prep process. Our educators focus on providing skills that will not only help students to gain confidence but also to do well on this test and tests to come!
We recommend that students start preparing for the SAT or ACT at least several months before they plan to take the exam. This allows them ample time to familiarize themselves with the content and format of the test and to address any areas of weakness through targeted study.
Testive offers a comprehensive suite of test prep resources, including practice questions, interactive lessons, full-length practice tests, and one-on-one coaching. Our platform is designed to help students build the skills and confidence they need to perform their best on test day.

Testive’s matching process involves pairing students with a tutor based on various factors such as the student’s goals, learning style, strengths, and areas needing improvement. Here’s a breakdown of how Testive’s matching process works:
- Initial Assessment: Testive begins by conducting an initial assessment of the student. This may involve a phone consultation, diagnostic tests or questionnaires to gauge the student’s current proficiency level, learning preferences, schedule availability, and specific areas of focus.
- Matching Algorithm: Testive’s Student Success team that takes into account the information gathered from the initial assessment. The team carefully consider factors like subject matter expertise, teaching style, personality compatibility, and availability of the educator.
- Introduction: Once the educator is selected, Testive introduces the student to the tutor. Your Testive tutor will schedule you for a kick off call that marks the start of the program and allows the student and educator to get acquainted and discuss their objectives for the tutoring sessions.
- Onboarding: Testive’s matching process also includes an onboarding phase where the student and coach establish expectations, set goals, and create a plan for future sessions. This phase is essential for ensuring that both parties are aligned and committed to achieving success.
- Ongoing Support: Throughout the tutoring engagement, Testive provides ongoing support to both the student and coach. This support includes regular check-ins, progress tracking, resources for additional practice, and assistance with any logistical or technical issues that may arise.
By carefully matching students with coaches who complement their needs and learning styles, Testive aims to maximize the effectiveness of its tutoring programs and help students achieve their academic goals.

Testive’s proven formula for consistent score improvement is focused on students preparing for two SAT or ACT tests in succession. Our approach involves an initial period of 3-4 months of comprehensive and efficient test preparation using both one-on-one tutoring and our adaptive learning platform. The goal is to thoroughly prepare students for their first test. After the first attempt, which often involves overcoming the challenge of sitting in a testing center for the first time, we focus on a second test scheduled just a few weeks later. During this period, we concentrate specifically on the areas that need improvement to boost the student’s score. This method leverages the insights gained from the first test to achieve optimal performance on the second test.
At Testive, we provide comprehensive support for students from kindergarten through 12th grade, focusing on academic assistance, executive functioning skills, logical processing skills, and advising support. Our aim is to equip students with the skills and knowledge they need to excel in their current studies and prepare for the next chapter of their educational journey. Additionally, we offer a graduate school program designed to support students as they transition to advanced degrees, ensuring they have the resources and guidance necessary for success at every educational level.
The scales remain the same: it’s a maximum of 800 points in each of the Reading & Writing and Math sections, for a total possible score of 1600.
Each section consists of two “modules”. Students who perform well on the first of these will see a second module with more difficult questions, while the second module for students who did not perform as well will see questions of lesser difficulty. (This is called section-adaptive testing, the point of which is to provide an accurate score even with a shorter test.)
This section-adaptive format of the new Digital SAT is designed to help students of all skill levels hit their best possible scores on the test, and it should have no real bearing on a student’s approach to the exam. All students should still simply aim to get as many questions correct as possible on all parts of the test; a greater number of correct answers still equates to a higher score!
