Screenshot 2024-11-30 at 10.26.31 AM

Jose is a professional educator and actor living in New York City. He graduated Cum Laude from Fordham University in 2016. Born and raised in Jakarta, Indonesia, Jose has worked with students in highly competitive educational environments from both Asia and North America for years.

Jose’s teaching philosophy focuses on building confidence and healthy habits, as he believes success is closely tied to personal development. He centers personal connection with his students because it is key for understanding their needs and bringing levity to each session. Jose’s acting work gives him great facility with English language text, and this–combined with his love and aptitude for math and science–manifests in scores above the 95th percentile on both the SAT and ACT across all subcategories.

Outside of his professional life, Jose loves games of all kinds–from video to board to tabletop role-playing–and has even written some games and modules of his own. His most recent obsession is climbing the Master Rank ladder in Pokemon Unite. He also enjoys weightlifting, and has recently developed an interest in mastering the particularly dynamic Olympic weight-lifts: snatches and clean-and-jerks.

Why Students Love Testive

Dasha not only was she patient, but she pushed both our sons to achieve their goals in a firm but very kind way. One son increased his score approxomately 300 points and the other achieved close to a perfect score!

I was totally at a loss with how I would manage to score where I wanted to on the test. My diagnostic was at the median score. I started working with Scott at Testive and within a few weeks of working together I increased my score to over the 90th percentile.
